Hannover Messe 2019 – a summit for industrial pioneers

The world’s leading trade show for industrial technology, Hannover Messe 2019 runs from 1- 5 April. Industrial Pioneers are in focus at Hannover 2019, with a number of events and speakers exploring what it takes to succeed in Industry 4.0 and beyond.

Founded with a pioneering spirit, Telenor Connexion still strives to push innovation within the IoT sector. Our roots date back to the 1990’s, when connecting devices to mobile networks was territory for just a few truly pioneering businesses. From those early days in machine-to-machine communications, we have grown alongside our innovative customers as the Internet of Things has matured.

Swedish innovation in the spotlight at Hannover 2019

Each year at Hannover, an official partner country gets the spotlight. In 2019, that country will be Sweden. Along with many multinational customers, Telenor Connexion has developed IoT solutions with pioneering Swedish customers including Volvo, Scania and Verisure.

Another Swedish manufacturing pioneer is Husqvarna, known as a “the world’s oldest start-up” thanks to over 300 years of innovation. A demonstration model of one of Husqvarna’s newest innovations will be on display in the Telenor Connexion booth all week. The Husqvarna Automower 535 AWD is an all-wheel drive robot lawn mower which employs the Telenor Connexion Global Connectivity solution to securely connect to mobile networks anywhere in the world.

Demonstrations from partners – see the IoT at work

From connectivity hardware to IT development, Telenor Connexion works with specialised partners to provide the skill and experience needed to that help manufacturers get-going quickly with connected solutions. Two of of those partners will present working demonstrations in the Telenor Connexion booth for the entire week.

SECO spa will present their fault detection solution for water pumps which is based on their new SBC-C61 Mini Processor with an i.MX 8M Mini. The SECO solution uses the Telenor Connexion Global IoT SIM to securely connect to the internet. Using our Managed IoT Cloud platform, the data from the fault detector is visualized in an easy-to-use operator dashboard.

SABO Mobile IT will present a demonstration model of a single-line lubrication system. With mobile connectivity enabled by the Telenor Connexion Global IoT SIM, the system can connect to the internet. Using the Managed IoT Cloud platform, SABO has developed an application for remote control of the lubrication system. SABO will also present a connected, industrial water pump.
